On Tuesday 7th September 1999, we lost a friend.

To Pamela,

Thank you for allowing us to know you. Although our friendship was short in this existence, we felt as if we had known you for eons. Perhaps we had.

Thank you for your enthusiasm for the more "interesting" things,   for the trees, for the planet.

Thank you for your wisdom and naivety.

Thank you for your comments about "little grey haired old ladies"

Thank you for the little expletives which slipped out when you slipped over.

Thank you for your love of chocolate.

Thank you for being a friend.

Although we know that you are now in a far better existence, we will miss you.

May all of your treks be fruitful, and your chocolate sweet. We know that a part of you will trek with us forever.
